Vie di Romans recides over fifty hectares of planted vineyard located in the Mariano del Friuli township, located within the DOC zone of Friuli Isonzo, in the easternmost area of northern Italy, close to the Slovenian border. The Adriatic is to the south, and the first slopes of the Alps to the north. Their specialty is producing white wines built for aging. We'll be tasting their Flor diu Uis. Blend, Peire Sauvignon Blanc and the Dessmis Pinot Grigio. I've had the pleasure of trying the Pinot Grigio and it is nothing like what you would expect from this varietal. This will be a try before you buy night. The wines will be offered at a special discounted price for this night only. Along with Vie di Romans, Michael will be tasting everyone on 2 wines from Pecchenino Estates in Piedmonte Italy one of which will be their Barolo. Limited to 20 people, 2 people per invite please.
