About the Event
Andre Clouet is among the greatest of the small artisan Champagne houses. Located in the village of Bouzy, regarded as Champagne's finest Pinot Noir producing village along with neighboring Ambonnay. Clouet specializes in Pinot Noir where all 20 acres are classified Grand Cru. Proprietor Jean-Francois Clouet, grower/producer, is fashioning exciting, bold, terroir-driven, food-friendly Champagnes. With so much focus on Chardonnay-based Champagne, the textures of Pinot Noir Champagne are a much different expression, both texturally and aromatically; sensual.
Hosted by wine specialist Peter Troilo from Village Wine Imports, during this class you'll have the opportunity to taste some of the greatest wine in the world from the small northeastern region of France known as Champagne. Champagne captures the hearts, minds and palates of wine lovers around the world like no other wine. It is one of the strongest territorial wine brands in the world, and no wine specialist can consider their education complete without having in-depth knowledge of this fascinating region.
You'll gain a deeper understanding of what makes Champagne the king of all sparkling wines. Peter will present the unique terroirs, styles, and producers and growers of Champagne. This will not only be a fun interactive evening, but you will walk away with newly gained confidence when discussing and enjoying Champagne.
