About the Event

The Sound of Music might be iconic with Austria, although it's their wine that is centric to the culture of this tiny Alpine republic.

What sets Austria apart is that the country has made its name from essentially one indigenous grape variety, Gruner Veltliner. The country also produces many other varietals that are grown exclusively there along with some more common grapes that produce wines that are very distinctive of Austrian terroir.

During this virtual class, we'll examine a set of 3 wines from Schloss Gobelsburg from the portfolio of Terry Theiss, another world-renowned importer of exceptionally high-quality wines from Europe.

Our guest speaker is the Austrian portfolio of Michael Skurnik Imports.

Wines for the class can be purchased separately or as a discounted "kit" which includes cheese, charcuterie, and crackers, perfect for an in-home wine and cheese party!

  • Gobelsburg Riesling $18
  • Gobelsburg Gruner Veltliner $17
  • Gobelsburg Zweigelt $17
  • Wine & Cheese Kit $65

Sign up through our website and you'll receive the link and password.
