About the Event

Join us this Friday underneath the tent for a FREE tasting of 3 new Italian wines.  Picture yourself sitting in an Italian piazza just sipping on a glass of vino without a care in the world.  These are the wines you're drinking.

  • Baglio del Sole Inzolia from Sicily may not be a well-known grape varietal but it is one of the most planted indigenous grapes of the island.  Medium-bodied white wine with notes of slivered almonds, citrus fruits, and fresh herbs with a beautiful deep golden/green color and a little salinity, mild acidity on the finish.
  • Volpetti Le Piantate Cesanese is the perfect example of what you would be drinking if you were in Rome. Subtle, velvety smooth, with notes of red fruit/berry and a hint of white pepper. Light tannins with medium acidity. Great with a chill, but even better with grilled meats and charcuterie!

Plessiva Isidoro Polencic is what every mass-marketed and expensive Pinot Grigio wishes they could be but succumb to what corporate overlords think they should make instead.  A stone's throw from Croatia, PG's from the Collio region are mineral-driven with bright acidity, floral and citrus fruit notes with wet stone, first rainfall on a hot sidewalk undertone.

Santa Margarita, which is the epitome of every expensive PG, has got nothing on this wine.
