During our weekly in-store wine classes we talk of how well wine goes with food. Now you're going to taste it for yourselves as we travel to Kala Bistro in North Haven. This tasting menu prepared by Chef Manual Romero will highlight the joys of wine and food.

About the Event

Certified Sommelier Jennifer Sullivan, Certified Specialist of Wine Chris Fiore and Executive Ched Manuel Romero all put their heads together to throw a little old world/new world wine pairing dinner.

As the Three Musketeers of the wine and food world will demonstrate, it does take some planning and coordination to nail a well-paired dinner party—but, you don’t have to be a pro to pull it off.

This event will feature a whirlwind comparison between old world and new world wine styles—with tips on how food & wine match-ups can be recreated at home.

PROSCIUTTO CROQUETTES, COD FISH MOUSSE, TORTILLA paired with a specialty cocktail made with Segura Viudas Cava and Partners Cherry Bitters

GRILLED RHODE ISLAND SQUID: baby arugula, lemon, bell pepper vinaigrette paired with Brun Beaujolais Blanc & The Snitch Chardonnay

PORK TENDERLOIN: haricot verts, sweet potatoes, grape tomatoes, Japanese eggplant, sherry-Dijone mustard sauce. pired with The 75 Wine Co Cabernet Sauvignon & Clos de la Roilette Fluerie

CHOCOLATE TORTE: hazelnut crumble, vanilla bean ice cream paired with Gonzalez Byass Tio Pepe Fino en Rama Sherry
