About the Event
"Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years..." It's time to rethink Lamrusco instead of the stereotype of being a fizzy soda pop style red wine from Italy.
Emilia-Romagna is known as Italy’s food capital (and for good reason, think Bolognaise and Parmigiano Reggiano). Lambrusco is THE wine to pair with some of the most quintessential Italian dishes. Known in America as sweet sparkling red, it is much more than that. Though it is sparkling, racy dry versions exist, as well as some delectable rosés. Join Jennifer, Sommelier from Slocum & Sons, for this virtual class and tasting!
We'll be featuring 3 Lambruscos from The Chiarli family. They have owned this property for over 130 years. It lies in the heart of the wine-producing area of the Lambrusco di Grasparossa, in the Castelvetro municipality. The estate comprises 50 hectares (124 acres) of vineyards.
Wines being featured:
Chiarli Cialdini $19
Chiarli Centenario $14
Chiarli Vecchia Modena $16
Pick from the list if you'd like to join us in the tasting. Â No need to purchase all 3.
Gather your family around the tablet/laptop, mke your favorite cheese & charcuterie board or order a few pizzas to accompany the class.
