Wine 101: Back to Basics

The wine world is constantly changing. For someone to say that they know everything there is about wine is absurd. There is something to learn each time you open a bottle since wine is ever evolving.

The Spring 2019 semester begins. Our most attended and interactive course designed to teach the fundamentals of tasting wine and while building confidence when ordering wine at a restaurant or other wine shop (say it isn't so!)

We'll cover the basic grape varietals, talk about the term "terroir", how to read a wine label and the ever so popular 5 S's of wine tasting. You may have been to other intro classes, but don't miss out on this one.

This class will challenge you to brush up on your tasting skills, assessment of wine and develop your palate to truly understand what you like and dislike.

$30 per person includes your class, light cheese, and crackers to accompany the tasting and $15 gift certificate to purchase wines after the class.

This is a wine appreciation class to further educate your palate by tasting a variety of wines in a professional manner.

You must be 21+ years of age to purchase a ticket.

Classroom size is limited to only 10 people to encourage more in-depth discussion and analysis, so please RSVP early.

Critical discussion is encouraged, but please be aware and respectful of other students' opinions and assessments of the wines. Wine is subjective and personal to each individual's palate.
