South African Wines with Boschendal

This week's class we welcomed Henry Lavado from Boshcendal Vineyards in South Africa to illustrate why S.A. wines need to be given your attention. Why is it that when we think of selecting wines that we don't commonly go to South Africa (S.A.)? One of the common answers was that most retailers carry the same items from the larger producers. In walks Henry and Boschendal to break that mold. The wines offer an expression of not only place, but of ability to create world class wines when in the hand of the right winemaker. Boschendal wines exhibit both qualities as presented this night to the group.
